Secondly lets look at Covent Garden. This area is located just east of the West End. It is known for entertainment and shopping now and has also been historically. It notable attractions include the Royal Opera House, which is also simply known as Covent Garden. This is home to the Royal Opera and Ballet as well as a house orchestra. Also there is Covent Garden square or Piazza, obviously a name based on Italian that distinguishes it from the surrounding area. This Piazza is home to a wonderful market that will keep you busy for days. Also many street entertainers perform here during the summer months. One of the oldest theatres in London is also here that being the world renown and reputedly haunted Theatre Royal Drury Lane. Summer Holidays in Pimlico Westminster

Lastly there is Pimlico. This is a lovely area is bordered by Westminster city centre and Victoria to the North. Also by the River Thames and Lambeth to the South. This location allows you very easy access to many attractions. Within easy walking distance you have the House of Lords, House of Commons, Westminster Abbey, the Millennium Wheel and The Tate Britain. Also just across Lambeth Bridge you are within easy reach of the Imperial War Museum. The majority of streets were rebuild as splendid Georgian style townhouses after the great fire of London destroyed the area. There are also many lovely garden squares for you to enjoy in a wander around its streets. There are also many large Victorian building that have been converted to hotels here.
