Our townhouse hotel in Bloomsbury is situated right in the middle of this exclusive London neighbourhood. Surrounded by Tottenham Court Road, Russell Square, with short walks to University College London, the British Museum and the University of London. You cant really get a better spot to stop in the area.

For a central London town house you cant get better really. A home from home while you stay in the nations capital is what we all would like when we are away and here that is exactly what we try to provide for you. Originally 5 buildings our accommodation has 2 garden for you to relax in after a days exploring.
We are not just somewhere to stay while in London but pride ourselves on being somewhere to entertain your family and Friends while here. Go on you know they would love it.

Our restaurant where breakfast is served has been built to a contemporary design and has two things at the top of its list. Your pleasure and comfort. We are sure you will not be disappointed with it.

If you have come for a theatre outing then after the show why not indulge yourself in our lovely comfortable Alchemy Bar. Relax and chat about your experiences in our fabulously comfortable deep cushioned sofas or for the more romantic of you, why not hide yourselves away in one of our quiet private corners to add that bit of je ne cest qua to your night cap.

Good stuff: location

Bad stuff: Check in, too slow, a queue behind you and all listening to your details, check out the bill incorrect twice although explined the details and showed the necessary documentation. No apology at all given by the lady

Overall + Stuff we would like to have known: The hotel was fine it was just the way check in and out was managed.

Good stuff: The Academy Hotel is very conveniently located to meeting sites as well as tourists sites and transportation access points. The hotel is well-kept and has many amenities for the foreign traveler.

Bad stuff: It would be helpful to have a list of services provided by the hotel for the guest to review. Items such as laundry service, the availability of ice, telephone usage, directions to nearby restaurants, tourist sites, etc. could be covered in a small brochure.

Overall + Stuff we would like to have known: Locating a hotel that met our needs for convenience to our meeting site, public transportation points and points of interest and for our desired level of comfort was easy on the website we used. I received a prompt reply confirming our reservation and was given courteous, prompt assistance regarding transportation from Gatwick. The hotel was comfortable, clean and staffed with pleasant and efficient personnel. We enjoyed our stay at The Academy Hotel very much!

Good stuff: The rooms were clean, well appointed and very welcoming. The staff were very friendly and it made a very pleasant stay. It was my partner's 30th birthday so it was a treat and the hotel was lovely.

Bad stuff: Maybe install a lift?!
