Overall: Right next to Victoria train station, which we were not told about before the stay. We were not put in the hotel that we booked for.

Overall: The staff was very rude and unhelpful.

Overall: very small room with olb furniture. the staff ask to pay even before you have seen your room, I advise you to have a look at the room before paying... The breakfast is ok

Good stuff: the breakfast was a good deal.

Overall: I booked for Alexander House Hotel but we stayed in the Ivy House Hotel. I really can not tell you about Alexander House Hotel. We felt our time there went well. Over all our stay was good.

Good stuff: Clean room and linnen. Plenty of hot water

Bad stuff: Room not as booked. Very little communication from check-in clerk.

Overall: I looked for and booked a lower end hotel as a stop-over for the night and didn't expect a palace. The check in experience was monosyllabic at best and not in the hotel as shown on-line. The owner apparently owns a string of adjacent buildings and the duty check in person puts you where they want to arbtarily - in principle I have no objections but the web page should make this clear. A bit of unease is unavoidable when shown a completly different building - how was I to know they were all the same business? The rooms were clean enough as was the bed linnen, but give tiny a new meaning!! The full breakfast is also a misnomer - it consisted of fruit cordial, instant coffee, cereal and 2 slices of toast with jam/marmalade. It is closer to a continental type breakfast and, while adequate, not accurately described on the web page. This wasn't a bad experience, just inadequately presented and effected.
