The Arriva is located close to Kings Cross, St Pancras and Euston Stations. Where access to London for a short stay is concerned you can get a better location for the price.

Our location is superb. Within 2 miles you have Hyde Park, The London Eye, London Zoo and Madame Tussuad's. What ever it is you wish to do in our nations capital you will be able to do it easily from our hotel. The London tube is easy to get to from here just a few minutes walk as are train links to Heathrow Airport. If you are here to do some studies, the world famous British Library is also on the doorstep. The perfect place to stay for the budget minded traveller.

Good stuff: cheap and cheerful, friendly staff, nice cup of tea but not much choice for breakfast, fridge for cool drinks on a super hot day

Bad stuff: shower not overly powerful, room clean although small, bed not overly comfortable but again clean and still had a good nights sleep.

Overall: Excellent value for money, friendly staff, secure building; perfect if you are looking for a cheap no frills stop over that at least is secure, clean and friendly.

Good stuff: Good value, cleanliness of the bathroom/shower facility

Bad stuff: The noise of the busy road

Overall: The hotel was acceptable for an overnight stay where all you're concerned about is somewhere to sleep. However, having said that, the traffic outside was constant as it's on a busy road, which includes a bus route. This may not be the case with all rooms, but certainly is a risk with front facing ones. The room was only big enough for the bed and space to walk around it. The shower/toilet area was bigger than in most hotels of this price range/type that I've been in.

Good stuff: Everything worked. It doesn't always - even in the most expensive hotels. It was clean and warm and in the right place - all I need.

Bad stuff: Staff attitude. They didn't seem to give a flying care that I was there. There's plenty of competition around the corner...

Bad stuff: Neither the light or the shower worked in my room and though I informed reception on the night of my arrival nothing was done to rectify this.

Good stuff: Value, location and the friendly staff!

Bad stuff: Lack of daily room cleaning.

Overall: Overall, great value!! Friendly staff! Awesome location! Cleaniness of room was the only real issue. Noticable dust on TV and throughout bathroom. Heating in the room was an issue for the first few days. Had to become firm with staff before it was finally resolved. Staff honestly seemed to be doing the best to resolve the issue.

Good stuff: I found the staff at the Arriva Hotel very friendly and helpful. The room was quiet and peaceful. However, I think the net curtains could have been washed. Overall, the room was nicely decorated and had adequate space, aspect and a pleasent view of the surrounding area.

Bad stuff: There was nothing really to complain about.

Overall: I was pleasently suprised at the Arriva Hotel. The room was basic but very nice. The small en-suite bathroom had perhaps not up to the minute fittings and fixtures, but was very pleasing and clean. The staff were very friendly, and there was a family atmosphere in the Hotel

Good stuff: the accomadation was good value for money

Bad stuff: the only bad point was traffic noise

Overall: the kettle base was broken and was a possible danger,there was only one glass and one cracked cup but we were given two new cups on request.

Good stuff: The hotel was cheap and the location ideal for the station and Family Record Centre where I'm researching.

Overall: On balance the value for money and convenience of location were the most important aspects I required. These were excellent. I will stay there again.

Bad stuff: Hotel did not have both rooms available on arrival, left luggage and on return 1 hour later Hotel denied any knowledge of booking. Refused to honour price room booked at !!

Overall: Not very good, very poor service, abusive staff and poor impresion.

Good stuff: The plumbing was new,the continental breakfast adequate,the price a great value.

Bad stuff: Very little space to put things away.

Overall: In a safe-appearing neighborhood, a bit of a walk to the tube and bus stop, with a friendly pub with good food acorss the street, the Arriva served us well.

Good stuff: Quiet. Breakfast good. Nr. the underground. Easy to find hotel. Comfortable bed. Electrical points

Overall: I was looking for a cheap hotel in central London as I needed to stay over to go to work. This one suited me fine. It was simple and basic and covered my needs. It was what I would have expected for central London at £35. I didn't require anything more than what was available. The only thing I noticed was that although the bathroom was clean, it was a bit tatty all around the tiles - they could do with a bit of a sprucing up, just to make the bathroom a bit more welcoming. I would stay there again if I neeced to stay over in London on the way to work.
