We are well placed 3 minutes from Lancaster Gate tube station and close to Paddington. Our elegantly decorated Hotel is located very close to the cultural and historical sights of the Capital.

Getting anywhere is very easy on the tube from here. Just outside (3 minutes walk) you have Lancaster gate tube which has the Central line running through. That will take you as it name says all through Central London with ease.

Hyde Park is your first stop for a morning stroll. From us it is about 3 minutes walk directly South. Beautiful Wallace Collection is 15 minutes East on the Central line. Paddington station is about 8 minutes walk (0.4 miles) Northeast. Famous wax museum of Madame Tussuad's (16 minutes on the Bakerloo Line). Natural History Museum is the other side of Hyde Park so you can walk it. However, by tube on the Central line it will take about 30 minutes.

Good stuff: The location. Very near Hyde Park which suited us but set back a bit.

Bad stuff: The room was a bit cramped and there was alot of noise outside at night

Good stuff: The position of the hotel was very convenient for the Heathrow Express at Padington and was surrounded by good bars and restaurants.

Bad stuff: The bathroom was tiny and a little worn round the edges

Overall: The hotel was in a good position for transport links , the west end and the parks. Travelling from Heathrow via the H Express we were in this hotel in half an hour.It was a pleasant walk down to the V & A and Knightsbridge and there were plenty of good cheap places to eat round about. we found it to be great value for money.
