Close by are the beautiful Kensington Gardens and Palace and beyond is the heavenly world of Hyde Park - walk in the largest oasis in London, meander around The Serpentine Lake, how the children Peter Pan Statue and visit the Italian Gardens. Why not hire a boat and spend some time just messing about on the water. There's an art gallery, bandstand and numerous exits leading to Knightsbridge, Mayfair, Marleybone or Paddington districts.

Notting Hill is of course famous for its carnival and Portabello Road Market - especially lively and buzzy on Saturdays. Treasures and antiques and gadgets and all kinds of everything can be found. Hip cafe bars where you can simply take the weight off your feet and watch the world go by whilst you enjoy a cappuccino is a favourable option.

Very close by is the complex of Whiteleys - fantastic UCI Cinema with "Hollywood and Vine" bar serving coffees and cocktails, wines and beers all day and evening. Having disabled facilities and concessions for OAPs and children.

A wonderful choice of restaurants surround this area and you don't have to walk too far to find an eating house serving international cuisine and providing a relaxing atmosphere for an evening of pleasant socialising. Great part of town.
