Good stuff: The staff are The Cranley are first rate, kind, attentive and professional. The public room (lobby) and halls are very nicely appointed. The location is excellent.
Bad stuff: The lack of a breakfast room is a serious one, and we never opted to take breakfast in our tiny rooms, but instead went out each day. We were surprised to see our rooms lacked CD players or radios or tea making appliances. There are also no little public sitting rooms other than the lobby, so when we wanted to play cards we sat either there or outside until it got too dark.
Overall + Stuff we would like to have known: For the price I think The Cranley should have CD players in the rooms, or at least a radio; it is always so nice to have music when one travels. The lack of a breakfast room I have already commented on. Room service will bring a continental breakfast to your room, but it is expensive (10 GBP). The high quality champagne served each evening from 7 to 8 is a very welcome touch. The staff are excellent and very helpful, and the rooms have lovely bedding and towels. There are many fine restaurants within very short walking distance. The street is quiet and it was easy to sleep each night.

Good stuff: The staff at the Cranley hotel were amazing. When we checked in, the receptionist was very accommodating. She provided a lot of material on touring London and she found us a room even though we arrived before the check-in time. She was a first-rate employee.
Bad stuff: Rooms were slightly smaller than they look on the internet.
Overall + Stuff we would like to have known: On the whole this hotel was well situated with excellent, helpful staff. The hotel was immaculate with good quality sheets and towels. I would recommend it.
