We are renowned for being a home from home for people staying in London. Just a few minutes from Paddington and a 20 minute train ride to Heathrow. A splendid Victorian townhouse close to all of London's main attractions.

Charming and tasteful establishment with attention to details and top marks for cleanliness and hygiene. We take great pride in making you feel welcome and relaxed. Heading off to the West End - what to see? Shoppers - delight in the famous streets of Oxford, Regents and Piccadilly with time for a leisurely lunch in Fortnum and Mason or head over to Harrods in Knightsbridge, popping in to Harvey Nichols along the way. Looking for light entertainment? Covent Garden and the street talent is not to be missed and well worth a few coins in deserved payment. Theatre goers - dress up, dine out and then sit back and relax your favourite show.

If you are with the family why not start off with a visit to Regents Park and a visit to London Zoo and close by we also have London Toy and Model Museum.

Just the two of you? Walk across to Hyde Park, have a coffee overlooking Serpentine Lake and then browse around the Gallery......walk some more and end up anywhere from Kensington Palace to Royal Albert Hall (for lunch!) or up to Marble Arch.

Good stuff: The Darlington was in a great location -- close to bus and train routes. Hotel was clean.

Good stuff: Big room with french windows. Nice situation and only moderate noice from traffic. Very useful to have a refrigerator in the room. A modern fully functional TV.

Bad stuff: Only small things, not worth mentioning.

Overall + Stuff we would like to have known: For most travellers it is a question of price versus comfort and service. In Darlington Hotel I found good value for the price.

Good stuff: Clean and fairly quiet

Bad stuff: Middle of winter with the heatoff, windows open and fan going and still I sweated during the night. Why is it so hot without heat?

Overall + Stuff we would like to have known: Good value, very clean and close to Paddington station.

Overall + Stuff we would like to have known: We enjoyed our night at this hotel and will stay there again next time we return to London. The room was very clean, bed comfie, towels soft and no outside noise. Vey handy to Paddington Station and quaint hotels.

Good stuff: The size of the room and bathroom, very comfortable beds, nice towels as well as decor; for the price and central location, it was excellent. Also the ameneties such as hair dryer, sat tv, key system etc.were nice features.

Bad stuff: a little noisy from the above floor

Overall + Stuff we would like to have known: The accomadation was easy to find, the staff were very helpfull and the suite was excellent. The hotel was clean and tidy and decorated very tastfully.The breakfast was excellent with a number of choices. The area of London was quiet and above all we felt safe both in the Hotel and when walking at night.

Good stuff: Everything except the fact that the room was very hot.

Bad stuff: Hotness of rooms.

Overall + Stuff we would like to have known: Overall, a very pleasant experience. Location was perfect and we were pleasantly surprised by how quiet our room was.

Good stuff: very clean, very friendly and a lovely relaxed atmosphere.

Overall + Stuff we would like to have known: The staff are all very friendly and keen to ensure you have a nice stay. The hotel is spotlessly clean and furnished to a high standard. It does not have a bar which means it is very quiet at night.The breakfasts are extensive and a full English (cooked to order) or continental are catered for in a delightful airy dining room. Evening meals are not provided but there are numerous fine restaurants within easy walking distance and there are plenty of good pubs serving fine beer and good food too. I always go to The Darlington when in London. The Underground is a 5 minute walk for those want to do head into Central London.

Good stuff: Outstandingly clean. Very friendly staff. Excellent breakfasts. Convenient location for bus routes & Underground. High level of security.

Bad stuff: Parking very limited, virtually non-existent. Room rather small.

Overall + Stuff we would like to have known: Superb experience. We went back at end of our trip & it felt like returning home. Very convenient to Paddington station where Heathrow Express train arrives.

Good stuff: +Friendly staff. +Room upgrade. +Access by keycards. +Good breakfast (room/presentation and choice).

Bad stuff: -Sleeping room window could not be locked. -Interference in TV.

Overall + Stuff we would like to have known: Nice small hotel which made a good impression to me. I though that the price is quite expensive but I had to learn that it is the normal level in London. TIP FOR TRAVELLERS: Take the heathrow express train from the airport to Paddington station (only 15mins) and after 300 mtrs you will reach the hotel.

Good stuff: Paddington station is very close to the hotel. It is very easy to go to Heathrow airport from the hotel.

Bad stuff: The hotel wasn't as close as I was expecting to Lancaster Gate Underground. (10 minutes walk)

Overall + Stuff we would like to have known: The hotel is renovated and very clean. The staff was very nice. It was 5 minutes walk from paddington station which makes it very easy to travel between the heathrow airport and the hotel. I was using central line a lot. So I wish I would know that it is 10 minutes walk from a central line station. Actually 10 minutes walk is not that bad, but my expectation was different.
