Good stuff: The hotel was lovely. Breakfast was very good and the breakfast room was very attractive. Service was good. We changed rooms twice because our first room was near a strange banging noise and the TV and room safe did not work in the second room. All three rooms were comfortable and clean. The receptionists were very nice and accomodating reguarding our room changes and general daily chat.
Bad stuff: None. Though we were there in cooler weather. It seemed like it could be stuffy and hot in warm weather. They do offer room air conditioners at an additional charge.
Overall + Stuff we would like to have known: We had the opportunity to view 3 rooms and stayed in two. The first, on the floor below ground floor, was very small and had a window that opened into a small interior (though outdoor) area. The room was quite small but very comfortable and cozy, but I am sure it is very hot in the summer. And there was a strange banging noise associated either with the elevator or the boiler. The second room had a window overlooking the street and was larger and again very nice. The third room looked over the street and had a balcony which was a plus, but not necessary. It was also a very comfortable room.

Good stuff: Friendly staff, wonderful breakfast.
Bad stuff: Room was too warm and we only had a door, no window to open. Perhaps the addition of ceiling fans would suffice.
Overall + Stuff we would like to have known: The staff was most helpful and kept our luggage until check in time. Most international arrivals are early in the morning, so the 2 o'clock check in can present a problem. A vending machine with water and/or sodas would have been nice. Overall, the Elizabeth is a wonderful hotel in a wonderful location. I have stayed there twice and will do so again when I return to London.

Good stuff: The hotel was considerably better than other London hotels in a similar price range.

Good stuff: proximity to Victoria Station, quaint neighborhood, unique hotel, beautiful breakfast
Bad stuff: room was very warm, but easy to regulate with radiator dial; construction workers on scaffolding were noisy early in the AM
Overall + Stuff we would like to have known: Short walk from train station; beautiful, historic hotel in quiet neighborhood; surprised by enough beds for 4 adults! Great breakfast in pretty dining area. Appreciate the coffee in the room & helpful staff.

Good stuff: balcony, convenience, comfortable
Bad stuff: woke up at 7am to see a workman on my balcony putting up scaffolding! I had had no prior warning nor apologies for this inconvenience. The scaffolding compromised my view, and my sleep and privacy were disturbed. I would like to hear what you are going to do to prevent this happening again. I have been a regular visitor to your hotel.
Overall + Stuff we would like to have known: As I outlined above, my privacy and enjoyment of my room were compromised by an unpre-warned erection of scaffolding at the front of the hotel. This was a significant disturbance on the morning it occurred in particular and was not mentioned at all by staff after the event.
My positive answers below should not be seen as absolute and are, in fact, are conditional on your response to my query.

Good stuff: Great location, friendly and helpful staff, clean room, easy check-in and check-out process.
Bad stuff: Small, we asked for an AC when we checked in at 9:00 a.m. but when we returned from sightseeing hot and sweaty we were told none had been ordered and we never we able to get one. Staff did treat us well though even though we were mad and hot for a little while.
Overall + Stuff we would like to have known: Overall, the Elizabeth was a great choice for our foursome. It was easy to get to, they let us get one of our rooms early so we could freshen up (we had just arrived via plane from the US), and it was clean and nice. I wish I would have known that our room was going to be extremely small and that we would not be able to get AC even when it was ordered. I would be willing to pay a little more for guaranteed AC.
