Cancellation Policy

Good stuff: The room was decent enough for a one night stay. It was clean & the facilities were good. The receptionist was very polite and helpful. She gave a very good first impression. The accommodation was of a good standard.

Bad stuff: I'd like to have got a better deal than £79 for 1 night's bed & breakfast, especially as the room was small and the breakfast was only Continental and was self-service.

Good stuff: I booked this hotel because of its proximity to the Globe and Tate Modern. Price was also a factor.

Bad stuff: Some of your desk staff were very pleasant and courteous. Others were quite brusque when answering queries. I feel a simple smile would have gone a long way to making us feel more welcome.

Overall + Stuff we would like to have known: Our room was clean, comfortable, and good value for money. The hotel's proximity to the New Globe Theatre and to the Tate Modern gave us wonderfully easy access to both. The breakfast selections were very nice. The website's walking instructions from Southwark Tube station could be improved slightly - they weren't as easy to follow as they appeared to be. A better thumbnail map with all small side street names marked would have been helpful.
