Good stuff: The beds were quite comfortable
Bad stuff: It was a dive. We were 4 floors up with no fire escape in a grubby building with staff that struggled to speak English.
Overall: Very disappointing. A grubby, badly run 'hotel'which is also a fire hazard.

Good stuff: The accomodation was close enough to all the main attractions in London but was in a quiet area.
Bad stuff: The breakfast advertised was continental, which it wasn't really. Ther room we stayed in was very small and there was enough room for the two of us and two cases.
Overall: In general the hotel was good considering how little we payed for it and the staff were friendly. The street was quiet at night and close enouh to a tube stop so we could get around the city easily. However, the room was a little small, the toilet didn't always flush properly. As we didn't spend much time at the hotel, these things didn't really matter and the hotel was cheap but we wouldn't stay there again or recommend it to a friend.

Good stuff: The triple room had three separate single beds. The shower and toilet were adjacent to the room.
Bad stuff: The decor could have done with a facelift and the carpet, although clean was worn out. There were a few annoying springs in the bed!
Overall: The hotel is very central and in an ideal location for a short sightseeing trip to London. The directions were good so it was easy to find and near a tube station. The television had good reception and as our room was at the top and back of the building, it was quiet at night. The room was very basic and functional but to be fair, it was good value for money. Staff helpful and breakfast good.

Good stuff: The breakfast.
Bad stuff: The noise from the street.
Overall: The location is excellent. But the noise (at night) made the journey somewhat difficult and unconfortable.

Good stuff: location, price
Bad stuff: showers, shower accesories, tv
Overall: Cheap hotel with excellent position. Rooms plain, and in need of an update. Let down by poor TV, ineffective shower, and general faded air.

Good stuff: Good breakfast, cooked to order. Location absolutely perfect.
Bad stuff: see general review
Overall: Booking a single room is always a gamble. In this case I did not strike lucky. The room was small (around twice the width of a single bed), and although perfectly adequate, made me glad I was only staying a couple of nights. The bathroom was one of those dropped in capsules, which although adequate, was cramped and did not give room for long legs when sitting down for necessary functions!

Good stuff: nothing
Bad stuff: all areas
Overall: the room was small and not enough room for two people the stairs were very steep and dangerous en suite was very small and as i suffer with panic attacks in small places i did not find this good for my health the door was stiff to open from the inside so if there was a fire we could not of got out quickly i would not recommend this hotel to anyone in the future

Good stuff: cheap and central
Bad stuff: walls are so thin, being kept awake all night by neighbours. could do with a lick of paint. brighter!
Overall: good until trying to sleep! walls are so thin can gear everthing. If it was anymore I would not stay.

Good stuff: Convenient, central situation of the hotel, room and bathroom facilities clean and working, quiet at night, nice breakfast room, friendly staff, reasonable room rate.
Bad stuff: A little painting of walls and ceilings and maybe shades for the bedside lamps would do wonders.
Overall: The central situation of Gresham Hotel is excellent for a London visit. Stayed with friends for 3 nights in a family room that suited us fine. It could do with some reconditioning, but it was nice and clean, the beds were fine, and we were even lucky not having to share the toilet and bathroom with anybody. Friendly staff. Reasonable room rates. Area quiet at night. We are not unlikely to come back!

Good stuff: Room was small and had no shower or toilet in room, these were in the corridor. Also had to climb three flights of stairs. but then the price of the room compensates for the stairs and facilities

Good stuff: Location. Big Room. Nice staff.
Bad stuff: Cleanliness. Not the room we booked. Poor breakfast.
Overall: Gresham Hotel. The Staff were very friendly and nice. Location is excellent. Our room was adequate. We booked a double, but when we arrived there was a problem with the room we were supposed to get, and we were put into 2 twins in the last room available. It was a Huge room, but in the basement and dirty and dank. En suite facilities were fine. Breakfast was poor. I've stayed at several places on Gower St / Bloomsbury St for the same or less money (all with better breakfast), and this was the poorest experience. Perhaps only because of the room switch problem (was this a spare room??). Maybe the other rooms are nicer.

Good stuff: Not luxury, but excellant value.
Overall: Our room had low cold water pressure and a broken over-bed lamp. On the other hand, we had good access to non-ensuite toilets and showers. A decent cooked breakfast. A good, young staff. Busses from Euston Station to Victoria Station (not other direction) stop at the door.

Good stuff: The staff was very helpful in bringing my bag to my room and giving me directions to where I wanted to go.
Bad stuff: I found it a bit annoying that I could not get some kind of breakfast prior to 7am since I had an early flight, and had to leave before the official breakfast hour. It might be useful for you to have some kind of express breakfast available for early travellers.
