On the beautiful River Thames close to Richmond our fine Hotel - a 17th century Stately Home offers luxurious rooms with peaceful scenery for a relaxing and blissful stay.

If you enjoy walking then there are enjoyable riverside walks to be taken or once you have meandered through our gardens. There are meadows and fields to explore and while away the day in. You can take a boat along the river and see some of our local historical sights such as Hampton Court Palace, Kingston Town and Teddington Locks.

The perfect location for that romantic weekend away where you can be King and Queen and view the rich scenery of the River Thames, gardens and countryside beyond from the comfort of your room. All rooms are en-suite and have phone, tea and coffee making facilities, trouser press, TV, hairdryer. There is a self-service laundry service and ironing facilities on request. We also have student rooms with shared bathroom facilities.

Good stuff: We were well looked after by the staff who were very helpful.

Bad stuff: Would have liked a wider choice of breakfast without having to book a cooked breakfast 24 hours in advance. We still had a good time though.

Overall: As above.

Good stuff: Hotel has a nice old world charm.

Bad stuff: No electricity in the morning meant a cool room and a cool shower in the semi dark.

Overall: Without the electricity problem it would have been a nice stay, but no compensation was offered for this inconvenience.
