Good stuff: When I pointed out that the carpet was disgustingly filthy, the reception did hoover it immediately with a hoover that failed to pick up! Breakfast just about OK apart from 'ancient' fried tomato
Bad stuff: Dirty carpet in room (21), Broken wardrobe full of filthy bed linen, TV hardly working, dirty tea cups in bedroom, wallpaper hanging of walls, Shower with broken and filthy head and filthy tiles, noisy (stare-well room, depressing ambience, bad decor
Overall: A Hotel inspector should be called in as the place is not up to acceptable hygene and maintencance standards. It is appalling compared with other hotels in the area of similar prices and should be condemned. I would like some compenstation as I often have to use hotels in this area and rely on Active Hotels to provide something at least liveable!

Good stuff: Good price, close to where I was working.
Bad stuff: Room very small, room in the basement lacked a pillow. Very thin walls and no control over the radiator, so had to sleep with the window in December.
Overall: First night first room ok, second night different room abit grim.
