Taking the Jubilee line you are soon at Bond Street where you can enjoy the shopping heartland of London. From there you will find Oxford Street, Regent Street with the famous Hamleys Toy Store and numerous branded names, further down is Piccadilly - home of the Ritz, backing on to Green Park where you can enjoy a leisurely walk and then across the park you will come out at Buckingham Palace so don't forget your camera! Just behind is St James Park where you will find a lovely lake area and since you are so close to the river now why not enjoy the sights there such as Westminster Abbey, Houses of Parliament and the fabulous London Eye.
Back to base to relax and perhaps enjoy one of the local restaurants.

Overall + Stuff we would like to have known: The hotel was in a convenient location for us, just off a busy main road into London, close enough to walk into Camden (about 35 minutes) We were very pleased at how quiet it was. The room was compact, but ideal for our one night stay,it was warm and the windows opened. We were glad we had a 'Smoking' room. The room service options seemed excellent value although we did'nt use them. The bed was comfortable but my husband would have liked a variety of pillows - for example - feather. The cost - £75 for one night was a little over what we wanted to pay, but we booked late. The continental breakfast was something we were not used to and we would have preferred a full English breakfast. We were pleased that there was a lift. The staff were pleasant and efficient.
