Good stuff: The room was nice, the staff was always helpful and friendly.
Bad stuff: Maybe a nicer paint job in the halls? Nothing that really matters - to us anyway.
Overall: We arrived early in the morning (from our trans-atlantic flight), and needed to store our luggage, as it was several hours before check-in. So when they just happened to have a room already available we were extremely pleased!
Obviously this is not a luxury hotel, but nice enough, and a very good value. Don't judge the rooms by the halls, stairways, or lobby. The room was really quite nice, very clean, (though a bit on the small side, and I understand that is common for London). The bathroom was all marble-tiled and very clean.
We enjoyed all the breakfast choices (various juices, cereals, yogurts, rolls, meat, cheese, etc.)
The location is such that it's a nice walk to the park, and several museums.
We would definitely stay here again.

Good stuff: Very Clean. Good value for money. The room had a great view to the street and was recently refurbished. Very good taste in Bathroom decoration. The staff always very nice and available in any situation.
Bad stuff: Just the heat. I couldn't find the temperature switch and was a little bit hot inside the room.
Overall: Most of all, I must say, excellent staff.
Plus, the Hotel is very clean and relatively close to the Tube. Nearby you have a good commercial zone, but the hotel is still far enough so that you don't hear the noise. The rooms are a good value for money, not big, but with enough size to sleep and have your bags. The refurbished rooms are very pleasant to sight. The only problem that I found was about the heat in the room (i couldn't find the control switch to lower the temperature but I can assume that could have been my problem). Unlikely other 3 stars hotels in London, in the New Linden Hotel you DON'T see guests sitting on the stairway in front of the Hotel (talking loud, drinking etc.) - It has naturally good-behaved costumers.
