Good stuff: Good location close to Victoria Station with acess to the Gatwick Express. Also close to many attractions. Nice to have a room for 5 people. Good breakfast.
Bad stuff: Bathroom needs remodeling. New beds needed.
Overall: The hotel provides an ideal location for people flying into or out of Gatwick Airport because of the Gatwick Express that provides nonstop train service from Victoria Station (located near the hotel) and Gatwick Airport. The hotel is also close to Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abby, and the Parliment buildings. Good breakfast.

Good stuff: The hotel was fine. No serious issues at all & it was quiet so was able to sleep coming in from a long flight.
Bad stuff: The English breakfast reminded me of military food but it was ok. No issues.
Overall: The hotel was fine and I would stay there again. I would make sure that they released the hold on my pre-authorized credit card amount however. But that is a minor point.

Good stuff: Clean, comfortable. The location was excellent. The staff was very responsible.
Bad stuff: The room was very small for two people. No bathtub.
Overall: The price and location were the best aspects. Directly in front of the hotel is a public bus that goes directly to Victoria Station. A laundromat, beauty salons, and numerous restaurants are within a three-to-five-minute walk. The room was clean and attractive, but very small. I would have preferred a bathroom with a tub as well as shower, and clearer (written) instructions about how to operate the TV and find the hairdryer (it was in a drawer in the room instead of in the bathroom, but I had to ask about this and also how to turn on the TV).
We were very pleased with the responses to our special requests--e.g., leaving our luggage for a couple of extra days while we went to Paris, even though we did not plan to stay another day when we returned, and advice about the best way to get to Heathrow (the clerk pointed out that she could arrange for us to go there directly for 30 Euro, rather than having to go to Paddington Station to get the Heathrow Express which would have cost us more in transportation costs). Questions about the location of a laundromat, restaurants, bus stops,Internet access etc., were answered accurately and promptly, with attention to the most economical way to get things done. I would characterize the staff as efficient, professional, honest, and businesslike, though not especially warm.

Good stuff: Ideal central location. Good breakfast.
Bad stuff: The room was a little small, but ideal as we were ther only one night.
Overall: Overall the online booking was simple and effective. The cost of the accomodation was reasonable for the location and time of year.
