Start the day the way any discerning person might - with a stroll in Hyde Park - blissful, peaceful and the largest parkland in London. A lake, gallery and coffee shop, band stand, round pond and the royal household of Kensington Palace and Gardens sits at the far end. A bygone era - Victoria and Albert - but to commemorate them we have the Royal Albert Hall and behind the Victoria and Albert museum as well as Science and Natural History. Take a day time tour of the theatre where you can enjoy a lovely lunch.

Shopping is easy from this base - you can down to Portabello Market for a true London experience and hunt for treasures in the antique dealers or head up town to Oxford Street, Regent Street and Piccadilly - home to the Ritz and Fortnum and Mason - both serve wonderful afternoon tea. A chance to stock up on the finer foods and visit the little artisan market. Head up to Leicester Square - feed the pigeons and make a wish in the fountain and then its over to Covent Garden to watch some street entertainment. The Piazza is filled with wonderful shops, cafes and opera singers. Indoor market of Jubilee is historical and has some amazing items for sale - exquisite bathrobes and golden slippers - you can be Cinderella!
