London Charing Cross a little further but still you can walk there in 5 minutes. 5 minutes walk in the other direction up the Strand is Somerset House which happens to be an important arts and ethnic centre. Embankment and Charing Cross tube stations are both 8 minutes walk away.

Good stuff: The location of the hotel was brilliant! Everything we needed was in walking distance. The rooms were comfortable and the hotel was beautiful!

Bad stuff: I dont think there was any area of our stay we didn't like. Everyone at the hotel was pleasant which helped greatly.

Overall: The location and the hotel itself was brilliant. When I booked the hotel, the website told me everything I needed to know about it. We were able to find the hotel very easy because of the directions we were given. We would stay there again!

Good stuff: Chamber staff Spacious reception areas

Bad stuff: Barman extremely unwelcoming when my family ordered pre-dinner drinks in the hotel bar. It was a completely empty bar at 7.30pm (unsurprisingly from his attitude) but nevertheless he came to spray clean unused tables while we had drinks - he only cleaned those tables on either side of us (although these had not been used), rude manner when asking me for id for my 20 year old 6'2" son (as I ordered his drink), rude manner to my parents (in their 80s). We were all well dressed, had not previously been drinking and were behaving as any respectable family group. I do not recall being treated in such an openly hostile manner in a hotel(for no discernable reason). Restaurant staff at least civil but customer care not high on the agenda Standard room very small - club room worth while if there are two staying in a twin/double

Overall: Disappointing
