Quiet and tucked away in Whitehall our grade I listed building enjoys views over the Thames. All our spacious rooms are decorated in traditional style and some have river views.

A short stroll and you are soon at the Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey, Jewel Tower and the Victorian Gower Gardens, a couple of blocks away and you are in the beautiful oasis of St James Park with its duck pond and peaceful surroundings. Whilst there you may as well view Buckingham Palace and head in to Green Park where on the other side you'll find yourself on Piccadilly - home to The Ritz and Fortnum and Mason - both wonderful spots for an afternoon tea. Now in the shopping arena you may as well venture in to Regents Street, Oxford Street, Jermyn Street and Saville Row!

Closer to home there is a wealth of riverside walks and entertainment to be enjoyed. Cross over Westminster Bridge for a ride on the London Eye - a wonderful way to view the famous buildings and skyline. A little further along is the OXO Tower - evening drinks are a charm here. Visit the National Film Theatre, Royal Festival Hall and Gabriels Wharf.

Cancellation Policy

Good stuff: It was so central to everything. The staff were so friendly and helpful. I was there 21/7 when the London Bombings were underway but never felt frightened or threatened. The hotel staff had a lot to cope with under those circumstances and never lost their cool or their professional service.

Bad stuff: Very few!

Overall + Stuff we would like to have known: I was attending a Royal Garden Party at Buckingham Palace on 21/7 the day of the second wave of London bombings(thankfully thwarted!). The staff of the hotel worked very hard to get my mother and I to the palace even though taxi's were impossible to get at that time. They were even kind enough to let my mother relay her days experience to them on her return!
