Churchill Museum in London

2005 saw the opening of Britain's first museum dedicated solely to life of Sir Winston Churchill. Located in an annexe of the Cabinet War Rooms complex in London.

The museum is divided into five chapters. Each of these chronicles a period of Churchill's 90-year life. It covers from his schooldays to his position as a Cold War statesman. The museum uses a mixture of media displays and extensive documentary evidence. This evidence includes some of the personal diaries of this modern, great British hero.

Interactive Displays About Churchill's Life

Bisecting all of the exhibits is the Lifeline. This is an extensive and innovative electronic table with touch sensitive information on it. The information relates to each year, and in many cases, each month and day, of Churchill's career. Touching the interactive strip at the edge of the Lifeline brings up contextual data, films, photographs and sound tracks that further explore the great man's life.

Affordable and Educational Fun for All the Family

This museum is a great day out for the entire family. It is extremely well put together and interactive to keep children interested. It is very educational for the more mature of us, as I found out. You will be surprised what you did not know about our legendary wartime Prime minister.
