The Alexandra is located within a short walk of Hyde Park in London. Right in the centre of the city. Paddington station is also very close which means finding us will be no problem if you are not used to London.

All of our rooms have private facilities with either a shower or bath. Near by are Oxford street and its fabulous shopping and of course the marvelous Marble Arch.

The perfect place to star at a resonable cost in the heart of the city. We have easy access to both underground stations, trains from Paddington Station and bus routes. Once you are here you can get about and explore like you want to.

Good stuff: The closeness to Paddington Station and Hyde Park. Nice and clean bathroom.

Bad stuff: Situation by the crossroads a bit noisy. Lack of drawers to put small things in.

Overall + Stuff we would like to have known: For the moderate price, I think Alexandra Hotel was good enough the three nights I stayed there.

Bad stuff: Problem at desk because staff had not written our name.

Overall + Stuff we would like to have known: Very cosy hotel in good situation. Staff generally friendly. We did have one problem. After an evening outing, on our return we had problem getting our key because staff had not made a note of our name. This made us feel like criminals. I suggested that they have a more effective system to avoid such problems. Added to this was the problem of trying to get the kettle to work. We had to use a point on the floor by the door as the sockets on the desk were not working. The breakfast was generous. We did feel that the whole experience was a little more expensive than it should have been.
