An elegant Georgian building overlooking Blackheath, Hamilton House has, in the past, been the residence of two Lord Mayors of London and the Georgian features have been restored to their former splendour. A 5 minute walk from Victoria coach and train stations, we offer great value with all rooms en-suite.

Superbly located in the heart of London, world famous attractions like the enthralling Big Ben and the beautiful Royal Parks are only a short walk away from us. London's famous West End is just a short tube journey away. We are ideally positioned for access to all of London as the public transport stations are all so close by. Our bedrooms have wonderful views, some look towards the River Thames, Canary Wharf and the City, while the others have views of the Garden or across the Heath. We are a very special venue for small residential conferences, or day events. We have a special conferencing room that accommodates 35 people, and two smaller suites. Whenever you need us, the magnificent Enderby's Restaurant will cater to your every need. Our fine eatery overlooks a pretty south-facing secret garden making it a great place for summer drinks and dining.

Bad stuff: narrow time schedule for breakfast until only 9.30 whith breakfast room often crowded expensive (poor relation cust/beneficts)

Good stuff: The staff were wonderful. They were very friendly and willing to help out with local directions and special needs for our stay.
Bad stuff: The hotel is in the midst of remodeling and refurbishing some rooms.
Overall: The hotel is in an excellent location, only 5 minute walk from Victoria Station and is a very good bargain for the price. The rooms are not large, but they are sufficient for a few nights. The breakfast was not great, but it worked for a few days as well. We will most likely stay there again next time we are in London.

Good stuff: Friendly welcome. Good breakfast delivered fast in pleasant surroundings
Bad stuff: No soap or towels in the room. Towel brought on request very quickly but soap too late as I was already in the shower.
Overall: I would have preferred to pay more for a bigger brighter room with better facilities. But I could not fault the very helpful staff. Its proximity to Victoria station is a plus.

Good stuff: We appreciated having the electric tea pot with tea/coffee/whitener/sugar, the hair dryer and the refrigerator, enough drawers to put our things, private bath, helpful staff at the desk. When we asked for something, it was done. I liked the choice of cereal for breakfast.
Bad stuff: I like a complete English breakfast. The first day was fine. But all the other days were the same, exactly! That became boring and for my friend didn't give her the idea of other things that may be served for breakfast. (This was her visit to England) I would encourage somekind of variation in the preparation of eggs, exchanging beans for something else. Perhaps a rotation of three different menus? Would this increase the price very much?
Overall: We loved the location, the helpful staff and the amenities in the room. Wish I had known about the hairdryer before I packed my suitcase! Perhaps I missed this in looking at the site. If not, I would encourage this to be included along with the refrigerator in the description of the rooms (if space allows). We choose this hotel for the location, the English breakfast and the room for friends with twin beds. Thank you.
