Perfect for those in search of culture, entertainment and of course that all important past time - shopping. We are just a short and pleasant walk to the beautiful and ancient Royal Albert Hall where you can enjoy evening shows or take a daytime tour and stop for a spot of lunch. Behind this historical building you will find the Natural History Museum, Science Museum and the Victoria and Albert Museum. Close by are the Royal College of Music and the Imperial College of Science and Technology.

Take a stroll over the street and you will discover the biggest retreat in London, Hyde Park. An attractive destination to pay a visit to with its lovely Kensington Gardens plus Palace. Make time to wander as well as enjoy. Serpentine Lake is ideal for a few hours boat ride and there is a gallery as well as restaurant where you can visit and take some time out.

Those in search of retail therapy - walk no further than Knightsbridge - home to the famous Harrods, Harvey Nichols and many main stream fashion houses and designer wear. You can spend a full day just in Harrods which is a veritable treasure trove.

Time for a leisurely lunch along Sloan Square and then perhaps walk over Chelsea Bridge, view the river life - can you spot a whale? Enjoy Battersea Park and view the Peace Pagoda before heading back over Albert Bridge and visiting Chelsea Antique Market.

All in a day's outing with plenty of energy left to dine out and enjoy London at night.

Good stuff: good location, 2min walk from earl's court tube
Bad stuff: Very noisy at night, constant traffic noise from main road & no double glazing.
Overall: ok apart from traffic noise.

Good stuff: Perfect for a single traveller planning to do more travelling than relaxing.
Bad stuff: Size of the room may be a problem with large luggage.
Overall: No problems experienced. Excellent in relation to nearby shops and tube station.
