From Baker Street we are just a short walk, close to Regents Park - home of London Zoo. A great location for those wishing to explore London town and delight in its treasures.

We provide an efficient, service with a smile and comfortable relaxing rooms - most of which have ensuite facilities and TV. Privately owned we give that personal touch and understand the demands of families.

Close by you can walk to Regents Park and take the children to London Zoo over on the other side. There's a lovely boating lake and an open air theatre in the park and just outside is Madame Tussauds and the Planetarium - well worth a visit and have that special photo taken with your idol.

West End shopping and theatres are all close by but why not visit China Town - eat something a little different and then treat yourself to a wonderful reflexology massage to end the day!

Good stuff: Location

Bad stuff: No elevator to the attic room we were given, no ventilation the room was stiffiling. We were given 1 dirty ripped towel for two people. The floor was uneven and the bed was worn out and we wer rolling off the bed. The shower drain was blocked. The carpet was very dirty and worn. The window did not close and there was traffic noise all day and night.

Overall + Stuff we would like to have known: Very poor. The worst hotel I have ever stayed in and this includes 3rd world countries.

Good stuff: The people were very kind and helpfull

Bad stuff: The place could need a bit of renewing

Overall + Stuff we would like to have known: I got a cheap hotel with service minded people. I wanted to spend my money on the seminar I was in London for and not on hotelbills. The atmosphere was fine and that counts for me and my bed and room was clean.

Good stuff: the hotel is alright for a cheap stopover with limited facilities

Bad stuff: the hotel is very basic, could do with refurb going by our, carpets not fitting, windows not opening

Overall + Stuff we would like to have known: the hotel is ok if you are looking for just a room to sleep in with no other facilities, its ideal with baker st tube station 5 mins walk.we found out after arrival breakfast was included(cereal & toast).no drink making facilities in room,ie kettle.room heating on full.staff ok and friendly and easy access to centre of london.just on edge outside congestion charge.

Good stuff: very central; comfortable room, quiet(in a back room - front may have been noisy), staff helpful.

Overall + Stuff we would like to have known: Good value for money for central London. Comfortable, but not trendy. Recommend a single person pay a bit more to book a double room as this has better facilities. Continental breakfast provided, although internet booking had specified it wasn't.

Overall + Stuff we would like to have known: It was not clear in the booking process when the accomodation could be cancelled. We have said (in the online form) that we were arrived on lunch time. Because of delays on our plane, we arrived at 13hs, we found that our reservation had been cancelled. We were asked to move to another hotel, and the 'new' hotel was really fine. I would not suggest next time Greenwood House again, because we consider they were not professional enough to tell us the conditions of booking. The evaluation of the stay is referred to the hotel where we were moved.

Good stuff: The pub nearby where we could drink away the sorrow of booking this place.

Bad stuff: Dirty, moldy, no hot shower water, no lights all night, rooms booked were not provided

Overall + Stuff we would like to have known: Arrived to a dirty, smelly, broken down reception and were told they didn't have the rooms we had booked. They sent us to another hotel in their chain (Gresham). Were given rooms that had mold in showers, layered on and under every crevise. Couldn't get the shower to put out any better then barely warm water once I got the courage to get in. A window was broken and wouldn't lock, (ground floor). When arrived back that evening there were no lights on the third floor, couldn't call the desk clerk because the phones didn't work, but it didn't matter because he couldn't do anything about the lights till morning.

Good stuff: Location to conference.

Bad stuff: It was hard to find any redeeming features, having breakfast in the laundry room was a new experience.

Overall + Stuff we would like to have known: the hotel was not in the heart of the west end as it is advertised but a coupple of miles away. the hotel in general was unclean, the decor and general standerds very low and the breakfast dissapointing

Good stuff: Nothing, it was a disgrace

Bad stuff: The room was filthy, it is probably a place to take a hooker rented out by the hour. The lock on the door was hanging off and after a complaint to the staff they hurriedly rehoused us in a better hotel at no extra charge.

Overall + Stuff we would like to have known: You should visit the hotel yourself and take photos, look at the sqaulid conditions and put them on the web site. there were no internal shots of this hotel and after visiting the reason came quickly as to why.

Good stuff: location to subway and tour bus start points. Two nice pubs very close

Bad stuff: Horrible mildew smell from wet carpet in shower room. I left with that smell in my clothes and suitcase. It is very easy to fix and do not understand why it is acceptable by those running the hotel.

Good stuff: very good location and good price

Bad stuff: dirty, windows were broken, very low standard overall.
