When you stay at a Thistle hotel you know that you will be greeted warmly by professionally train staff. Staff are only to glad to help, if they can, all you have to do is ask. We pride ourselves on knowing and being able to fulfil as many of your requirements as a customer as is possible.

Near by there is much in the way of great shopping. We are so close to Oxford street and Hyde Park that what ever you decide you have come for our superb location will suit your needs. There are many great places to dine out in the local area as well as our own in house restaurants. We boast three separate and distinct dining experiences. A cafe themed on the 1930's is one. A coffee bar for more delicatessen type foods, salads and sandwiches. The Glen Miller for traditional fare and live entertainment most nights. If its live that is your things then you will be happy to know the shows that you have always wanted to see are close by too.

Bad stuff: We are very happy

Overall: One thing only, the staff in the dining room should not discuss or shout in the dining room so that the hotellguest really feel they shoud not been there at the moment. Staff crying in public shoud be avoided. Personal matters should be taken out of dining room when reacing such level.

Good stuff: We usually stay at the Thistle. Easy to get to. Central location

Bad stuff: Our booking was lost so we were forced to pay extra (Res No 4527751) Foreign staff on reception with very bad english. Had difficulty understanding us. Made to pay again for a room. We were sent to a smoking room without asking Room stunk of smoke and very unpleasant. Breakfast was overpriced so we chose to eat out. No newspapers in the morning. Checkout took longer than we are used to. Had to wait for printer reload.

Overall: We use Thistle Marble Arch as a return base for trips to London. Multiple stays. Overall its the location thats good. But the poor English on recption staff makes communication difficult. We had to put up with two trainees who struggle to understand us (us them) Breakfast too expensive. The bar is OK. Could have done with the piano player being in the bar - not the lobby.
