This lovely hotel really is what it says - European - in style and decor. Family run offering bed and breakfast with a warm and friendly service. Situated just 2 minutes from Kings Cross makes it an ideal base whether for business or pleasure.

Our establishment has a warm and friendly feel and we are happy to help and make you welcome. We pride ourselves on giving affordable room rates that include breakfast of your choice and VAT - so no hidden extras.

Most of our rooms are en-suite and include a TV, ironing facilities hairdryer, wake up call on request and includes breakfast.

This is a great base if you want to explore London's many treasures. Art galleries and museums in the West End, fabulous shops such as Fortnum and Mason in Piccadilly and of course the golden Harrods in Knightsbridge, not forgetting of course Harvey Nichols. Covent Garden offers an amazing array of street entertainment, coffee shops and exquisite stalls with everything imaginable from Aladdin's Cave.

On business? - then you have easy access to the City.

Whatever your purpose there is plenty to choose from and all from a good base.

Good stuff: excellent friendly staff. Fantastic breakfast which did not skimp on portions. The hotel and rooms were clean and functional. Fantastic value for money in the centre of London.

Bad stuff: I had a single room which I thought was too small. However as I was only staying for one night it servrd its purpose. I would have found it difficult if staying for more than one night. I would certainly use the hotel again but on the next occassion I would book a twin or double room.

Good stuff: The breakfast was ok. The kitchen staff did a very good job considering the poor facilities they were forced to work with.

Bad stuff: Very strong mouldy smell of mildew in room and entry to building. Cramped room in a seperate bulding to the main office, looked as though it was an unfinished renovation project. Serious questions could be raised regarding it's suitability due to safety reasons, i.e. strong mouldy smell and various trip and slip hazards.

Overall: Overall this accomodation type would suit people for one night maybe if they were on a budget and didnt know any better. An amazing point was the attitude of some of the staff manning the front desk, surly, unhelpful and a very poor grasp of the english language were some of the lowlights. Not recommended unless you are desperate.

Good stuff: Friendly staff, efficient check-in, clean and comfortable room and a cracking Full English Breakfast.

Overall: I would have liked to have known that cash was expected as soon as I arrived as the stay was booked for me by my wife as a present but I ended up having to pay the bill. It's a good job the rates are fair or it could've spoilt my stay but it didn't and I will certainly stay again.

Good stuff: Very good location and kindly staff. Good english breakfast. No problem to have early on a bank holiday (6:30)

Bad stuff: No enough towelling. The bed is too small for 2 people. Not famous orange juice Badly soundproofed rooms (inside the building)

Overall: It is a very kind location near a quiet square but also near the underground and buses (very convenient for visitors).Kindly staff and good full english breakfast.

Good stuff: Okay for the price and location was superb for my needs-I was going to a concert at the Barbican

Bad stuff: Toilet was very cramped. Would have been terrible for a well-built person.

Overall: Good value for the money. Breakfast was good for te price. Okay for a night or two. I certainly will not book for a longer stay.

Good stuff: close to underground station; breakfast was OK; everything was clean

Bad stuff: room was very small; the person at the reception was not very friendly/helpful during checking in

Overall: In general, the hotel was OK for the price we paid. We were only dissapointed when we saw the size of the room (very small!!). Also the welcome at the reception was not very friendly. When we made it on time for breakfast (closes already at 9:00....), breakfast was OK.

Overall: Very good value for money. Very quiet hotel in central location. I guess it is difficult to find anything quite like it in London.
